Bogmalo Beach Goa Travel

Which place serves as the main hub for tourists visiting the state of Goa? There is no competition there. Vasco takes home the prize. The town lies on  the western tip of the Mormugao peninsula, at the mouth of the Zuari River, about 30 km from Panjim and 5 km from the Dabolim Airport. Vasco is the only city in Goa which is well connected by road (national highway 17A), rail (south western railway), sea (Mormugao harbour) and air (Dabolim airport).

Being such a well known and well connected city, it should have something to boast about. Bogmalo beach is their pride. Located 8 km from Vasco and 5 km from Dabolim airport, you can reach there by cab. It is not any other beach, it receives a large number of tourists every year and yet you can maintain your privacy and enjoy the peace and quiet. The most attractive thing about this beach is the sunset.

The yellow orange tinged sun with a pinkish hue, dipping at the horizon is a sight you cannot miss in this lifetime. Well if you are in an adventurous mood, you can enjoy facilities like para sailing, surfing, swimming, water skiing. You will also be able to enjoy riding in regattas (type of boat for races) that keep floating in large numbers.

Bogmalo originally was a small fishing hamlet but now is a growing tourist hub. Many locals in  the village depend upon fishing for their livelihood. This can evidently be seen from the large number of fishing boats that are lined up along the beach. So Bogmalo sports a mixture of serenity and commercialism, splashed with simple beauty where one can happily lose oneself.
